Witches

          Witches have existed since the dawn of humanity. Their magic seems to be mysterious as no one knows the true source of how they got it. Some say they have been born into magic with parents of the Fae and humans. Others have been gifted their power by a deity. But each was given power with the extraordinary ability to feel and channel the magical energy that surrounds them. In ancient times, these users of magic were seen as leaders and healers, sometimes even worshiped by cults as gods. However, as the ages passed and humanity evolved, magic eventually became feared and those practicing it were persecuted. In modern times, magic has been almost forgotten by humanity, viewed as fantasy by most.  The ability to perform magic is hereditary, meaning that only those who are descendants of witches are able to practice it.
 

Appearance

          Witches look like ordinary humans.  There is no difference between them and regular humans other than what they can do.  Unless you see them cast a spell or some sort of incantation, you would never know they were anything other than normal.  This is an urban/fantasy sim that is set in modern day times in this world and this dimension so please dress accordingly.  

Types

Elemental Witch

Elemental witches were normally an offspring of the Fae, which allowed them to call upon the elements. However, it is seen that some have never had a Fae ancestor and have natural connections to the elements allow them to use the elements to their will.

Witchcraft - The ability to channel energy to perform feats of magic.

Spell Casting - The ability to cast magical spells and perform rituals.

Channeling - The ability to channel one's own energy and that of the world around to perform magic.

Elemental Control - The ability to control and manipulate the natural elements. The witch can pick one Element to control (earth, water, fire or water) the rest will need a source to be manipulated.

Cosmic Witch

A Cosmic witch tracks the moon and stars, also know as stargazers. They use the stars and the moon to draw energy to preform their magic during the celestial events.

Witchcraft- The ability to channel energy to perform feats of magic.

Spell Casting - The ability to cast magical spells and perform rituals.

Channeling - The ability to channel one's own energy and that of the world around to perform magic.

Clairvoyance - Ability to relate details about the past condition of an object, being or location, usually by being in close contact with it.

May choose 2 powers from the book of powers.

Deity Witch

A Deity witch gained their power from the Deity the worship, giving offerings or scarifies to please the deity to gain power. some say these witches are into dark magic and can summon the dead.

Witchcraft - The ability to channel energy to perform feats of magic.

Spell Casting - The ability to cast magical spells and perform rituals.

Channeling - The ability to channel one's own energy and that of the world around to perform magic.

Necromancy - the ability to manipulate/animate dead beings.

May choose 2 powers from the book of powers.

Spiritual Witch

Spiritual witches gained the ability to see souls and use rituals to summon spirits to control and manipulate them to gain power. Some rituals have been seen with drinking and drugs, to help gain or extend their sight. 

Witchcraft- The ability to channel energy to perform feats of magic.

Spell Casting - The ability to cast magical spells and perform rituals.

Channeling - The ability to channel one's own energy and that of the world around to perform magic.

Spirit Awareness - Ability to detect and see spirits and manipulate them or control them. (angels and demons do not count)

May choose 2 powers from the book of powers.

 

Weaknesses

 

Mortality - Aside from their ability to perform magic, witches are regular humans, meaning they possess all weaknesses possessed by humans.
Exhaustion - Performing magic puts strain on witches to the point where channeling too much magic can weaken or hurt them physically.
Emotions- In order to channel magic, witches need to be in control of their emotions. When experiencing high emotions to a certain extent, Witches may become unable to perform or control magic, leaving them powerless.


 

Tools

 

Amulets

 - an object that is used to protect its wearer from harm.

Athames 

- a ceremonial dagger with a double-edged blade that is commonly used to direct energy.

Candles

 - is commonly lit to amplify a witch's spell.

Cauldrons 

- used to hold the ingredients for elixirs and potions.

Grimoires 

- a family journal that documents the magical recipes, rituals, and spells.

Herbs

 - various flora used as ingredients to be incorporated into spells as binding agents.

Stones

 - various minerals or ores used to boost or mind a witch’s spell.

Symbols

 seals drawn or written used as physical representations of spells.

Talismans 

- objects that can be used to magnify a witch’s power and/or represent them supernaturally.

Living Dolls

   Living dolls are odd creatures created by witches for a specific purpose, they are imbued with Sigils that give them life and powers, and abilities. Some dolls are created as caretakers and others are created for combat. Generally, they are a homely race, whose abilities all lie in the scope of their purposes for creation. A doll created to be a housekeeper, for example, could be good at organization, cleaning, and cooking, but might be bad at conversation and incredibly aloof. Furthermore, they would lack knowledge of the world outside of their assigned task and come off as very naive. Dolls who have had more time to branch out in their skills can learn new skills but would find dissatisfaction doing things that compromise the purpose of their creation.

Powers and Traits

Trait: Immortality- The state of possessing an infinite lifespan and an arresting aging process.

Trait: Skills of Creation - The skill of creation allows the doll to excel at the skills they were given when created. (Cooking, fighting, cleaning, talking, etc. must state in the application what skills you have)

Trait: Immunity - The ability to be immune to all poisons and human ailments.

Trait: Glamoured - Dolls are glamoured to appear human. Those who can detect race cannot detect the race of the doll.
Powers: Sigils of Power - Dolls can get new sigils from witches to give them new power. (Up to 4 sigils are allowed at a time excluding the one that created them)

Weaknesses

 

Fragility - Each doll has its type of weakness depending on what they are created of those of straw would be weak to fire, those of porcelain would crack when damaged.
Healing - Dolls are not created from flesh and cannot be healed, they must be magically fixed with the magic of a witch.
Life Sigil- If the sigil that brought the doll to life is broken the doll will die.
